Students Learn About Vegetarian Cooking From Top Chef
A top chef came into the College recently to teach Level 3 students about creating various vegetarian dishes.
Elisabeth Guillén, Head Chef at The Gloucester Old Spot in Bristol, led a class with students currently studying an Advanced Diploma in Professional Cookery. Elisabeth, who moved to Bristol in 2015 after growing up in Barcelona, taught the students about traditional Spanish recipes with a vegetarian focus.
Throughout the morning, she worked with the students to create cauliflower and turmeric soup, piña colada pineapple kebabs, roast pepper portabellas, escalivada, marinated tomato salad, and veggie and miso stew with noodles.

This opportunity was part of a chefs' forum partnership aimed at introducing Weston College students to top chefs.
