Behaviour for Learning, Engagement and Strategies (ADHA/ADD) webinar

ADHD is an umbrella term which includes Attention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivity (ADHD) and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) without hyperactivity. ADHD is now widely recognised as a legitimate mental health problem.

The aim of this session is to gain a refresher or new knowledge on the ADHD brain and the impact of medication on symptoms.

Behaviour and classroom management is an essential part of everyday teaching and support practice and the styles and techniques employed to manage classes are unique to the individual teacher, class and learner being taught.

This session will enable practitioner reflection whilst gaining further strategies for successful teaching and supporting of ADHD learners.

By the end of this webinar, you will have the knowledge and confidence to:

  • understand learners with ADHD
  • understand why medication may or may not work for a learner
  • create positive behaviour within a learning environment
  • increase levels of engagement gain strategies for practice share effective practice.
