Art and Design, UAL Extended Diploma
What will I do on this course?
The Level 3 Extended Diploma in Art and Design provides an opportunity for those who wish to develop a broad skillset across a range of different disciplines within an art and design pathway. This study programme will allow you to develop and test your creativity through experimental briefs, with the introduction to creative and technical skills, professional development and contextual studies which will introduce you to a range of cutting-edge and historical practices.
You will be working with the excellent facilities at Loxton Campus – including dark rooms, specialist studios, digital suites and facilities to create mixed media outcomes.
This course is suitable for you if you are fascinated by art and design practices and enjoy working creatively and with curiosity. All learners on this course are expected to take part in work experience.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through practical projects in studios and workshops, and written assignments.
What could I do after this course?
You could enter into a job in the art and design industry, and could increase your skills with a creative foundation degree at University Centre Weston.
Five GCSEs at grade 9-4 including English and an art-related subject, a strong portfolio of work plus a successful interview.
