Massage Therapy (Holistics), Technical Qualification

What will I do on this course?

This Level 3 Massage Therapy course includes all the elements required to work effectively as a massage therapist. You’ll learn Swedish massage, Indian head massage, and stone therapy, as well as developing your knowledge and understanding of anatomy and physiology, and health and safety.

The course also covers topics including client care and consultation, the history and origins of massage therapies, and promoting and selling your products and services.

You’ll develop your practical knowledge and employability skills by working in a real life commercial salon and attending work placements throughout the year.

How will I be assessed?

You’ll be assessed through online tests, practical work, assignments, projects and three written exams. You’ll also keep an online gradebook up-to-date and manage targets throughout the year.

What could I do after this course?

You could become a massage therapist in a variety of setting, including salons, spas, cruise liners and photography studios. You’ll be eligible to join the British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology or the Federation of Holistic Therapists. You could also progress to a management qualification or a foundation degree in hair and beauty.

Entry Requirements

You’ll need a relevant Level 2 qualification, plus English and maths at grade 4/C or above.
