Open the door to a successful career in this varied and growing industry.
Beauty Therapy, Advanced Apprenticeship
What will I do on this course?
The Level 3 Beauty Therapy Apprenticeship will provide you with practical skills on the job as well as developing your theoretical skills in Weston College’s commercial salons. You’ll earn a wage and gain valuable work experience while also getting the benefits of being a student.
This course includes all the elements required to work effectively as a beauty massage therapist including body massage. You’ll cover Indian head massage, massage with pre-blended oils, stone therapy, monitoring procedures in the salon, and planning a promotional event.
You’ll also learn about anatomy and physiology, health and safety, and client care. We will also develop your English and maths skills as part of this course.
How will I be assessed?
Your personal assessor will visit your salon to review your progress and we’ll assess you in our commercial salon. Once your gradebook is complete we will agree an end point assessment, which will be an externally graded six-hour trade test.
What could I do after this course?
The majority of our apprentices are kept on by their employer after they finish their course. You’ll also meet the criteria for a number of roles in the beauty industry and could even open you own salon.
Or, you could further develop your skills with a management qualification or a foundation degree in hair and beauty.
A beauty qualification at Level 2 and English and maths at Level 1 or above. You’ll need to be in employment in the industry, but we will help you find this.
