Beauty Therapy, Intermediate Apprenticeship
What will I do on this course?
This Level 2 Beauty Therapy apprenticeship provides practical skills on the job as well as developing your theoretical skills in Weston College’s commercial salons. You’ll earn a wage and gain valuable work experience while also getting the benefits of being a student.
You will learn the theory and skills you’ll need to gain employment in the industry, along with the professionalism and behaviour expected within the sector. This course will cover eyelash and eyebrow treatments, removing hair using waxing techniques, manicure and pedicure treatments, make-up application, anatomy and physiology. We will also develop your English and maths skills as part of this course.
How will I be assessed?
Your personal assessor will visit your salon to review your progress and we’ll assess you in our commercial salon. Once your gradebook is complete we’ll agree an end point assessment, which will be an externally graded six-hour trade test.

The majority of our apprentices are kept on by their employer after they finish their course. You could also apply to be a junior beauty therapy or nail technician. Or, you might choose to develop your skills by progressing to the an advanced apprenticeship or a Level 3 course in Beauty Therapy.
