Business, Extended Certificate

What will I do on this course?

This Level 2 Business course will give you the chance to explore a number of topics within the business sector. The skills you gain will help you to decide the direction you want your career to take.

You’ll work with real businesses to develop your skills and also gain employability and entrepreneurial skills by completing a number of enterprise challenges.

This course covers a range of subjects, including: business enterprise, finance, business planning, marketing, customer service working in teams, sales and personal selling and recruitment and selection.

As part of the course you’ll undertake a work placement, and will also develop your English and maths skills to the level required in the industry.

How will I be assessed?

You’ll be assessed through practical observations, group work, presentations, coursework, online assessments and examinations.

What could I do after this course?

This course, which has a 100% pass rate, will provide you with the skills required for a variety of jobs in the business sector. You could also progress to the Extended Diploma in Business, or a related Level 3 course, at Weston College.

You’ll need four GCSEs at grade 3/D or above, or an industry relevant Level 1 qualification.
