Operational/Department Manager, Apprenticeship
What will I do on this course?
This apprenticeship will cover a range of skills and knowledge to enable you to successfully manage a department.
You will cover operational management, project management, finance and budgeting.
You will gain practical experience in these areas, as well as developing your underlying knowledge of management and communication. You will learn to build relationships with your team and other areas of the organisation.
How will I be assessed?
The end-point assessment comprises a range of assessment methods, including knowledge test, structured competency-based interview, assessment of portfolio of evidence, presentation on work-based project with Q&A session.
What could I do after this course?
On completion, apprentices can register as full members with the Chartered Management Institute and the Institute of Leadership and Management. You could progress to further qualifications including ILM Level 6 Award in Management, and ILM Level 7 Qualifications in Leadership and Management.
To start this apprenticeship, you should have substantial workplace experience in a lower management setting and potentially hold a Level 3 management or business-related qualification. You will need to be in relevant employment, but we can support you to find this.
