Chartered Legal Executive Apprenticeship

What will I do on this course?

This apprenticeship is available for employees in legal assistant, paralegal and case handler roles, who seek to gain legal knowledge and qualifications and progress to become fee earning paralegals and then Chartered Legal Executives.

As part of the apprenticeship you will have monthly contact with the personal assessor comprising of face-to-face observations, target setting, training, professional discussions, reviews and guidance, and remote assessments.

How will I be assessed?

The Chartered Legal Executive Apprenticeship end- point assessment consists of two parts:

A portfolio - evidencing the knowledge, skills and competences expected of a CILEx Fellow. Based on case load throughout the apprenticeship and submitted no earlier than the last six months of the apprenticeship.

A case study - from your case load which you have worked on from start to finish.

What could I do after this course?

You can progress onto the solicitor standard on completion of this higher apprenticeship.


Entry Requirements

You should possess a Level 3 CILEx-related qualification or equivalent. You must also have attained English and maths at Grade C/4 or equivalent.
