What will I do on this course?

This Level 3 Computing course will provide you with knowledge of the latest technology that you’ll need to produce professional websites, create and manage computer networks, and design and develop applications. You’ll cover a broad range of topics that will give you the skills you need to carry out a number of jobs in the IT sector.

You'll work with real-life employers to resolve business problems, learning the skills that they look for when recruiting IT staff, as well as taking part in work experience within the IT industry. This course also includes tutorial support, employability development, work Experience and study skills.

How will I be assessed?

We’ll assess your practical work, group work, presentations, coursework and exams.

What could I do after this course?

This course will provide you with the skills to work in a range of roles, including website designer, software technician and programmer and much more. You could also enhance your skills with a university-level apprenticeship or the Applied Computing Foundation Degree at University Centre Weston.


Entry Requirements

You’ll need five GCSEs at grade 4 or above (including maths), or a Level 2 IT or Computing qualification at merit or distinction.
