What will I do on this course?
This Level 1 IT course is the ideal introduction to computing and IT, and will build up your basic skills. You’ll cover a range of topics, including: the internet, multimedia, web development, software development, building a personal computer, and computing in the workplace.
The course provides the opportunity to get valuable work experience in the industry, and also includes tutorial support, employability development and study skills. You’ll also develop your English and maths skills to the level required to work in the industry.
How will I be assessed?
We’ll assess your practical work, group work, presentations, coursework, and online exams.
What could I do after this course?
This course could be your first step into an IT industry role, such as IT technician. You could enhance your skills by progressing to a Level 2 IT course or an apprenticeship at Weston College.
