What will I do on this course?
This Level 3 civil engineering course is perfect if you’re interested in a career in professional design, administration, or supervisory aspects of the building industry, such as civil engineering, architecture, estate management and surveying. It covers topics including science and materials; construction technology and design; project management; measuring, estimating and tendering processes; surveying in construction and civil engineering; and building regulations and control.
This course also includes work experience, tutorial support, personal and social development, and study skills. On top of this, we will work with you to develop the English and maths skills that employers in the industry look for.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through work-related assignments plus end of unit exams.
What could I do after this course?
You could be employed at a technical level in a variety of roles – including quantity surveyor, architect or civil engineer. Or you could progress to a construction engineering Foundation Degree or apprenticeship.
A range of GCSEs at grade 4 and above including English, maths and science, or a Level 2 course (maths GCSE at grade 4 is still required), You’ll also have to attend an interview.
