What will I do on this course?
This course will introduce you to more advanced plastering skills, or develop the knowledge of plastering that you gained on our Level 1 course. You’ll cover a range of topics including building methods; construction technologies; preparing surfaces for plastering; plaster application; mechanical application; and information, quantities and communication with others.
As part of this course you'll complete a week of work experience as well as taking part in tutorials, employability sessions, personal and social development, and study skills. We will also work with you to develop your English and maths skills to the level that most employers in this sector look for.
We’ll assess what you know through practical tests, assignments, a portfolio, and online multiple choice tests.
What could I do after this course?
You could progress to employment as a plasterer, or increase your skills and unlock higher-paid roles by studying a Level 3 qualification in plastering or an apprenticeship
Four GCSEs at grade 2/E to 4/C or an industry-relevant Level 1 qualification. You’ll also be asked to attend an interview.
