What will I do on this course?
This Site Carpentry Level 2 course will develop your carpentry skills, and is ideal for people who have completed a Level 1 qualification. It could also be the starting point for your future career in the construction industry.
You cover a range of topics, including building methods and construction technology; first and second fixing operations; erecting structural carcasses (site carpentry); assembling joinery products; and information, quantities and communicating in a construction environment.
You’ll also take part in five days of work experience in the construction industry. We will also work with you to develop your English and maths skills to the level most employers look for.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through practical tests, an assignment, a portfolio of work, and online multiple choice tests.
What could I do after this course?
You could progress to a job as a carpenter or improver. You could also choose to unlock the highest-paying carpentry jobs with further qualifications such as our Level 3 Site Carpentry Diploma or an apprenticeship.
Four GCSEs at grade 2/E to 4/C or a relevant Level 1 qualification. You’ll also be invited to an interview.
