IT Skills for Employment (Yeovil)
This one-week course is designed to support those new to job searching using digital technology. We will cover basic IT skills including using Microsoft Word, how to use the internet to search for jobs, using social media safely and how to make use of video chat such as Teams and Zoom.
You will also create an up-to-date CV, have the opportunity to register with a variety of job sites and learn how to use social media sites to help you find work.
You will be supported to:
- Assess your own current skill level
- Plan for the future
- Set and meet goals for developing your digital knowledge and ability
- Make applications for live job opportunities
- Develop your digital interview skills
- Learn how to better manage your time.
The course runs daily from 9:30am until 3pm and is delivered at Yeovil Baptist Church, 8 South Street, Yeovil, BA20 1QE
