Public and Environmental Health

A qualification in public and environmental health could see you entering into a diverse and growing sector. 

Qualifying as an environmental health practitioner will mean that your career will offer you challenge, variety and the opportunity to have real influence in protecting and promoting public health.

Get field experience. You will be taught by practicing professionals and develop the management and problem solving skills related to public and environmental health areas for careers in both the private and public sector.

We offer a foundation and top-up CIEH-accredited degrees which cover all aspects of the subject, so you can leave a fully qualified practitioner.

Some suggested annual salary ranges for those working in the industry include:

  • Health and safety advisor £20,000-£50,000
  • Recycling officer £19,000-£28,000
  • Waste management officer £20,000-£35,000
  • Environmental health officer £25,000-£30,000
  • Landscape scientist £19,000-£25,000
