Credit Controller Apprenticeship
What will I do on this course?
Credit controllers or collectors typically monitor and manage customer accounts, and follow organisational policies to collect monies owed and ensure that work quality targets are met. This requires proactive interaction with customers who have not paid or who have reached credit limits or terms, in order to minimise bad debts while retaining positive relationships for the longer term.
The range of activities within the role could include, processing credit applications; agreeing credit terms and payment arrangements; invoicing; monitoring payment; allocating and reconciling cash; proactively contacting customers to collect debt and outstanding balances; resolving straight-forward disputes; debt support and recommending write offs.
How will I be assessed?
The end-point assessment involves two components - two assignments in which the apprentice provides detailed evidence of how they carry out the role in their organisation; plus a professional discussion that explores responses in the assignments, how the assignments have been produced and how well apprentices are performing in their role.
What could I do after this course?
On completion of this apprenticeship, you’ll be fully competent in the role and can continue to develop your career within the organisation through a range of possible pathways. These include senior credit controller/collector, credit risk analyst, team leader and credit manager.
English and maths GCSE at grade 4/C and above. You will need to be in relevant employment, but we can support you to find this.
