Cyber Security Apprenticeship

What will I do on this course?

This apprenticeship covers the primary role of a cyber security technologist to understand cyber threats, hazards, risks, controls, measures and mitigations to protect organisations, systems and people.

This apprenticeship has two pathways as either technologist or risk analyst. Technologists focus on security design and architecture, testing and investigations. The risk analyst pathway focuses on areas such as operations, risk, governance and compliance.

On both pathways you will work to develop and apply practical knowledge of information security to deliver solutions that ful l an organisation’s requirements.

How will I be assessed?

You will undergo an end-point assessment, consisting of summative portfolio, synoptic project, employer reference and interview.

What could I do after this course?

You could progress to employment within the sector as a risk analyst, cyber operations manager, information security auditor, or other similar roles.


Entry Requirements

Individual employers will set the selection criteria, but this is likely to include A Levels, a relevant Level 3 apprenticeship, or other relevant quali cations, relevant experience and/or an aptitude test with a focus on functional maths.
