Early Years Educator, Pearson Edexcel Diploma, Advanced Apprenticeship
What will I do on this course?
This Level 3 early years apprenticeship will give you the skills and knowledge you’ll need to work as a fully qualified early years educator.
You’ll earn a wage and gain valuable work experience with your employer, as well as attending College one day a week to develop your theoretical skills.
This course will develop your expertise in child development, psychology, health and well-being and early years education.
You’ll cover a range of topics, including early years education and development; teaching and learning; professional practice; health and wellbeing; child protection and safeguarding; and diversity, equality and inclusion.
How will I be assessed?
We’ll assess your practical skills, assignments, projects, case studies and workplace performance.
What could I do after this course?
You could progress to a role in a range of settings, including nurseries, pre-schools and schools. Or, you can increase your skills with a degree in Early Childhood Studies or Early Years at University Centre Weston.
You’ll need five GCSEs at grade 9-4, including English and maths, or a Level 2 course at merit or distinction, or an intermediate apprenticeship. You’ll also need to be in relevant employment, but we can help you find this. On enrolment your employer will require you to undertake a DBS check.
