What will I do on this course?
The Electrical Installation Diploma will provide with a high level of industry competency. You'll learn about topics such as the application of health and safety and electrical principles, electrical maintenance, inspection, testing and commissioning, electrical maintenance, fault diagnosis and rectification.
This course includes a Level 3 EAL Intermediate Diploma in Electrical Installation, tutorial support, work experience, personal and social development skills, and study skills. You’ll do at least five days’ work experience within the industry, and will also develop your English and maths skills to the level most employers look for.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through practical skills tests, multiple choice and written tests, work observations, assignments, projects and online assessments.
What could I do after this course?
After the Electrical Installation Diploma, you’ll be qualified for a number of jobs in the electrical and maintenance industries. You may also decide to open up your own electrician business. If you want to increase your skills, you could progress to a HNC or foundation degree at University Centre Weston.
You’ll need a recognised Level 2 electrotechnical qualification such as the 2330 or 2365, Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology or the EAL Intermediate Diploma in Electrical Installation.
