3D Printing - Engineering Prototyping

Welcome to the world of 3D printing.

This course covers the basics of 3D printing. It’s designed to provide beginners with an understanding of how a 3D printer works, and the process of turning a digital file into a full physical object.

Buying your first 3D printer is a big investment so it’s a good idea to understand what you’re getting in to. This course takes you, step by step, through the whole process, before you make a purchase.

If you’ve already purchased your 3D printer, this course is also for you.

You’ll go through the basic settings that make up most of the printing process – from designing your own 3D model with 3D design software to preparing it for print in the ‘slicing’ software … and finally printing the object.

3D printing might seem overwhelming, but – as this course shows – it’s incredibly simple and easy to do.
