What will I do on this course?
You’ll learn from your employer while you’re at work, and come in to College for a day a week to learn about the technical side of your job. This apprenticeship involves providing a quality and cost-effective maintenance and care service for a wide range of commercial and public buildings, such as hotels, hospitals, and shopping complexes.
Facilities managers make sure that facilities such as security, catering and cleaning (‘soft services’) and maintenance and building services (‘hard services’) run smoothly, so that customers can run their businesses efficiently. This apprenticeship will give you a larger insight.
How will I be assessed?
We will assess your practical skills and observe you at work. Tutors will visit you in your workplace to review your progress and make sure you are on target to get your qualifications.
What could I do after this course?
Most of our apprentices are kept on by their employers at the end of their course. From this apprenticeship you could progress to a higher level apprenticeship or university-level study.
