Health and Social Care, BTEC Extended Diploma
What will I do on this course?
This Level 3 Health and Social Care course will develop your knowledge and practical skills in a wide range of industry subjects. These include development through the life stages, safe practice, human lifespan, anatomy and physiology, personal and professional development, sociological and psychological perspectives, and dementia care.
You’ll also get to put the skills and knowledge you gain to practical use by gaining work experience in a variety of settings.
As part of the course, you’ll also develop your English and maths skills.
How will I be assessed?
We’ll assess your coursework, which includes exams, projects, assignments and presentations, in addition to practical activities.
What could I do after this course?
This course will enable you to apply for roles in a variety of areas, including youth work, family support or healthcare. Or, you could increase your skills by progress to the Foundation Degree in Integrated Mental Health and Social Care at University Centre Weston.
Five GCSEs at grade 4/C or above including English, or a relevant Level 2 qualification with an overall merit grade or above, plus a reference from a work placement.
