Music Performance, UAL Extended Diploma
What will I do on this course?
This Level 3 Music Performance course focuses on performance, song writing, and recording music in a variety of styles. You’ll develop practical skills and experience through sessions in our recording studios, rehearsal rooms and performance spaces.
You’ll have one-to-one instrument and vocal tuition and develop advanced computer skills using industry standard recording software. We’ll help develop your performance techniques, and improve your song writing, instrumental and vocal skills.
You’ll also study writing music for television and film, and understand how to be successful in the music industry. This course also provides unique opportunities to perform at a range of professional events and venues throughout the South West. As part of this course you’ll also develop your English and maths skills.
How will I be assessed?
You’ll be assessed through practical and written assignments throughout the course.
What could I do after this course?
You will be well equipped to enter into a range of careers, including musician, songwriter, composer or Foley artist. You could also enhance your skills by progressing to a music foundation degree at University Centre Weston.
Five GCSEs at grade 9-4 and above, or an equivalent Level 2 qualification.
