Performing Arts (dance pathway), UAL Extended Diploma
What will I do on this course?
This Level 3 Performing Arts course is geared towards those who want to focus on dance.
You’ll discover all the facets that make up this creative art. From performing in musicals, to repertoire and choreographing your own work in varied styles you’ll develop the skills you need to progress to further study or into the industry.
The course will provide an excellent skills base in performing arts, studying a programme including various styles of dance.
You’ll also get the opportunity to take part in workshops, theatre work, dance performance, choreography, industry work experience and much more.
Our recently refurbished facilities are equipped with the latest technology to provide you with an amazing experience on this practical and work-related study programme.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through practical and written assignments by both internal and external moderators.
What could I do after this course?
You'll have the ability to get a relevant job in the industry and could progress on to University Centre Weston's Professional and Commercial Dance, Musical Theatre or Performing Arts foundation degrees, followed by a BA (Hons) top-up.
Five GCSEs at grade 4/C and above or an equivalent Level 2 qualification. You’ll also be asked to attend an interview or audition.
