Public Services: Uniformed, Extended Diploma
What will I do on this course?
This Level 3 Public Services course brings together academic study, practical skills and knowledge of uniformed and public services.
It covers a range of study topics including government policies, citizenship, diversity, leadership and teamwork, understanding discipline, and fitness testing and training.
You’ll also get the opportunity to focus on a specialist unit. You could choose between international institutions and human rights, outdoor and adventurous expedition, skills for land or water-based outdoor and adventurous activities, planning and management of major incidents, responding to emergency service incidents, and career planning for the public services.
You will also get to participate in our sporting activities, and we’ll work with you to develop your English and maths skills.
How will I be assessed?
This qualification is assessed by exams, coursework, presentations and practical activities.
What could I do after this course?
This course could lead to a career in the armed, public or emergency services. You could also enhance your skills by progressing to a Foundation Degree in Uniformed Services or Sports Coaching at University Centre Weston.
Five GCSEs at grade 4/C and above.
