What will I do on this course?
This Level 2 Sport course will give you the opportunity to explore the key themes and concepts of sport. You’ll gain the skills you'll need to inter into more careers in the sports and active leisure industry.
You’ll cover a range of topics, including fitness for sport and exercise; practical sports performance; sport psychology; personal fitness training; anatomy and physiology for sports performance, plus a number of specialist employment-related units. You’ll also complete a sports-related project.
We will also work with you to develop your English and maths skills.
How will I be assessed?
This course is assessed through online exams, coursework, presentations and practical activities.
What could I do after this course?
This course may lead to well-paid roles in the sports and active leisure industry. You could increase your skills by progressing to a Level 3 course in either Sport, Sport and Exercise Science or Public Services at Weston College.
You’ll need four GCSEs at grade 3/D and above.

Leisure and sports managers organise, direct and co-ordinate the activities and resources required for the provision of sporting, artistic, theatrical and other recreational and amenity services.

Sports coach, instructor or official
Sports coaches, instructors and officials work with amateur and professional sportsmen and women to enhance performance, encourage greater participation in sport, supervise recreational activities such as canoeing and mountaineering, and organise and officiate at sporting events according to established rules.
