What will I do on this course?
This Level 2 Sport course will give you the opportunity to explore the key themes and concepts of sport and active leisure. You’ll gain the skills you need to enter a variety of careers in the sports and active leisure industry.
You’ll cover a range of topics, including fitness for sport and exercise; practical sports performance; sport psychology; personal fitness training; anatomy and physiology for sports performance, plus a number of specialist employment-related units.
This qualification will also include exclusive access to the Sports Academy and enrichment programmes, tutorial support, employability and study skills. We will also work with you to develop your English and maths skills to the level that most employers look for. Plus, you’ll take part in work experience so it’s a good idea to start exploring options now!
How will I be assessed?
This course is assessed through online exams, coursework, presentations and practical activities.
What could I do after this course?
This course may lead to well-paid roles in the sports and active leisure industry. You could also increase your skills by progressing to a Level 3 course in either Sport, Sport and Exercise Science or Uniformed Public Services at Weston College.
You’ll need four GCSEs at grade 3/D or above.
