What will I do on this course?
This Level 1 course is the perfect introduction to the uniformed and public services.
You’ll learn about employment opportunities, wellbeing and physical fitness, team work, self-discipline, map reading and navigation, health and safety, emergency care, and competitive sports.
This qualification also includes exclusive access to the Sports Academy and enrichment programmes, tutorial support, employability and study skills. Plus, we’ll work with you to develop your English and maths skills to the level that most employers look for.
How will I be assessed?
This course is assessed through coursework, presentations and practical activities, and we will support you throughout all aspects of your study.
What could I do after this course?
This course could be your first step into the public, armed or community services. You could further develop your skills by progressing to a Level 2 course in Uniformed Services or Sport at Weston College.
You’ll need a minimum of two GCSEs at grade 1/G or above, plus a satisfactory reference.
