Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Skills Bootcamp For Employers
Electric and Hybrid vehicles use completely different technology than most automotive technicians are used to.
Weston College has developed this comprehensive Bootcamp to enhance suitably qualified automotive technicians / mechanics knowledge, skill and confidence in Electric vehicle and hybrid technologies.
After successful completion you will receive a Level 3 qualification accredited by the Institute of the Motor Industry and have the opportunity to be entered on their Techsafe professional register.
Whether you are an individual wishing to reskill or upskill, or an employer intending to provide high-quality training to your employees, our 12-week/day-release – Electric Vehicle and Hybrid Bootcamp could be for you.

Subjects/topics we will cover
This Bootcamp will prepare you for society’s transition to electric cars, providing you with the skills needed to progress in your career.
You will be introduced to Electric Vehicles; including safety protocols and procedures for optimal performance.
The program covers both practical and theoretical aspects, such as advanced electrical theory.
Assessment Method
You will be assessed in two different areas:
Theory - formative assessment sheets and summative online assessment.
Practical - Practical observations and job sheet write ups.
Cost
- Large Employers (With 250 Staff or More) 30% contribution £855 per person.
- SME Employers (With 249 Staff or Less) 10% contribution of £285 per person.
Employer Commitment
Employer commitment for learner to complete all training elements.
Evidence from employer to confirm that the training provided via the Skills Bootcamp has resulted in either a new job role or an enhanced role for the employee that now utilises their new skills gained via this Skills Bootcamp.
