On Thursday 6th March, Weston College celebrated the incredible achievements of over 30 students and staff at its annual Celebration of Success event. The event was hosted at the Winter Gardens Pavilion and recognised the dedication and outstanding achievements of students and staff from all ages and disciplines.
The students were nominated by college staff and the winners were selected by a panel, including the College's Principal, Deputy Principal, Chief Operating Officer and the Governing Body.

Construction Quantity Surveying Technician, Apprenticeship
Quantity surveyors are a construction industry professional with expert knowledge on construction costs and contracts – they are a crucial part of the industry.

Civil Engineering Senior Technician, Apprenticeship
Start your journey into civil engineering, with our Civil Engineering Senior Technician apprenticeship.
Our apprenticeships are open to anyone over the age of 16, and give you a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn.
Civil engineering senior technicians use and apply their technical knowledge, underpinned by scientific principles and theories, propose numerous suitable techniques, procedures and methods to undertake and deliver civil engineering solutions.
We will prepare you to coordinate, manage and provide the technical planning, design, building, management, maintenance or dismantling of the built environment.
We will also look into infrastructure, such as transportation, water and waste management, marine and coastal engineering.

We will cover a wide range of topics, including:
- Proposing civil engineering solutions to well defined technical problems
- Delivering appropriate and effective technical civil engineering solutions
- Managing civil engineering tasks and supervise team members
- Contributing to the design of civil engineering systems
- Applying appropriate materials, equipment, technologies and processes, to plan, undertake and analyse civil engineering activities
- Health, safety and welfare requirements.

Once you are ready, you will undertake the independent end assessment, which will test your skills knowledge and behaviours required.
