Bosang stands as a shining example of perseverance and dedication, earning him the esteemed titles of Access to HE Student of the Year and Overall Adult Learner of the Year at Weston College. Despite difficult personal circumstances, Bosang's commitment to his studies has been exemplary, surpassing standard expectations and leaving an indelible mark on our teaching team.

His journey from Cameroon to the UK, balancing work in the healthcare and building trades, reflects his resilience and determination. Bosang's unwavering commitment to learning inspires, enriching not only his own life but also the lives of those around him.

From initially grappling with IT to now navigating Microsoft Office with ease, Bosang's journey is a testament to his dedication and willingness to overcome challenges. Bosang is a ray of sunshine, and his infectious positivity and humour brightened our classrooms, earning admiration from his peers and teachers alike.

Bosang's academic achievements speak volumes about his exceptional abilities and relentless pursuit of excellence. Despite English not being his first language, he tackled academic writing with enthusiasm, embracing constructive feedback with a smile and steadily progressing from pass levels to merits and distinctions.

As his confidence grew, Bosang became a vocal contributor in classroom discussions, sharing valuable insights on cultural aspects related to mental health and societal structures. His willingness to go above and beyond, investing additional time and energy into his studies, exemplifies his dedication to continuous improvement.

Now pursuing his dream of studying Mental Health Nursing at the University of South Wales, Bosang continues to inspire others with his determination and perseverance. His journey serves as a testament to the transformative power of education and personal growth, making him a role model for learners everywhere. On winning his award, Bosang had this to say:

"Winning this award is like a motivation, life is full of challenges and when you put in that effort and your effort is recognised, that's like a stepping stone and you realise yes I can do this. Just think about if somebody else can do it, then I can also do it. When you change one life, many lives are changed as a result, so I really appreciate this award.”

We do not doubt that Bosang will continue to excel and make a positive impact in the Mental Health Nursing sector and beyond. His achievements deserve recognition, and we celebrate his outstanding accomplishments with great pride.
