Assessment Method

You will be assessed via practical work-based assessments and course work. You’ll also be allocated a workplace assessor who will help you to build a portfolio of evidence, assess your practical skills and give you feedback and guidance on your professional development and progress.

Entry Requirements

Acceptance is dependent on securing a placement of at least 8 hours per week in an Early Years setting, unless you are already employed in an early years setting. You will need to arrange this and bring a letter from the setting. It is also dependent on a satisfactory enhanced DBS check. College can support you through the DBS process if you are not already in employment. If you do not already have GCSE in English and maths you are strongly advised to undertake this alongside your course.
