Digital Skills for Work

Digital skills for work is designed to help cover some of the basic skills required to help with job searching and providing confidence in your ability to gain and maintain employment.

Throughout this one-week course you will do the following:

  • Understand some of the basics of using a computer or digital devices

  • Use the Internet, Search Engines and Job search websites to help gain and understanding of current employment opportunities

  • Engage in using Microsoft 365 software, including Word, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.

  • Explore own strengths and weaknesses and develop confidence in communicating these through applications, your CV or at Interviews.

Following this course you will be given the opportunity to progress onto further training courses including, Sector Based Work Academy programs or Customer Service Skills course or to continue seeking employment with 1-1 support from the Moving Up Program.
