Hi, I am Laura and I co-ordinate the curriculum delivery at Puxton Park.

I own I have a cat called Rocket (who acts more like a dog) and a pony called Scott. I love all animals, but I guess I have a particular soft spot for the farm animals at Puxton.

I will be teaching some of you at Puxton Park and look forwards to welcoming you to our beautiful Animal Management Centre. I teach a variety of the modules on our programmes, but specifically the science-based modules and lots of the practical aspects of the course too.

I love to teach a range of subjects, since moving to Puxton it has been great to get involved with the farm animals.

Before coming to the college I was head veterinary nurse at a busy small animal hospital. I then started teaching student vet nurses and really enjoyed this aspect, which began my teaching career. As a qualified veterinary nurse, I ensure my skills and knowledge remain up to date by covering some out of hours and emergency services at a local vets. As well as my teaching qualification I have a MA in Education.
