Rachel is the Programme Coordinator for BA (Hons) Dance for Commercial Performance. She lectures in dance and musical theatre, specialising in commercial. Rachel holds a BSc (Hons) degree in psychology and an MA in Human Resource Management, specialising in training and development, from the University of the West of England.
Whilst studying and choreographing for street dance competition crews, Rachel found her passion for teaching and won coach of the year at her university in 2013. She has worked for several universities, nationally and internationally, and is an experienced choreographer - teaching teams who compete across the country.
Rachel’s choreography has won many first-place trophies over the years including at BDO, UDO and SDI street dance competitions. Her routines have also qualified for both World Championships and European Championships on several occasions across many competition organisations. Rachel teaches a variety of dance styles in educational contexts. She specialises in Waacking, House, Popping, Dancehall, Hip hop and Commercial, having studied these for many years.
