Ruby

Ruby came to us from a local college and from day one showed how hard working and conscientious she was. She had immaculate attendance regardless of the fact she travelled from Wells to Weston.   

She took on several challenges alongside her course, with highlights being her involvement in a winning team in the Business Weston Hospice care challenge; her planning and running of a charitable end of year event for her peers, all whilst continuing to achieve distinctions across her modules. Her selfless nature meant that she was not only able to help herself, but also able to help peers, her lecturers, and the wider community during her time on the course.  

Ruby finished with a D*D*D* which secured her a place on the Events Management Degree at UWE (University of the West of England) Bristol.   

Ruby won Professional Studies Student of the Year and Under 19 Student of the Year at Celebration of Success 2023.
