Accounting, AAT Diploma
This AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) advanced level course is a mid-level accounting qualification, ideal for anyone who is looking to advance their existing knowledge of accounting. This flexible course is delivered partially through a face to face in college lesson each week and with further study online at home.
This qualification covers a range of complex accounting tasks. You will learn and master financial processes, including accounting principles and concepts, preparing financial concepts, management accounting, tax processes and business awareness. Modules include:
- Financial accounting
- Preparing financial statements
- Management accounting techniques
- Tax processes for businesses
- Business awareness
Progression Opportunities
On successful completion of this course, you can progress to the AAT Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting. The skills and knowledge you will gain throughout this qualification will qualify you for roles including Finance Officer, Assistant Accountant and Bookkeeper. You will also be eligible for AAT Bookkeeper (AATQB) status, giving you the option to work as a freelance bookkeeper.

Applicants must hold an AAT L2 qualification at a merit or distinction from 2022 onwards
Additional Information
You will need to become a member of the AAT at the start of the course and take out professional membership with them to be a studying member. This can be done online directly with the AAT and will be an additional cost to the course fees. The cost of this is approx. £187.
