Computing, Access to HE Diploma

This one-year program is designed to provide you with the essential knowledge and skills you need to succeed in higher education and beyond. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of key computing concepts, including programming, computer networks, website design and development as well as completing modules such as Study Skills and Writing Reports to prepare you for university life.

Assessment Method

This Access to HE Diploma is designed to reflect the rigor and demands of undergraduate study. It includes a range of assessment methods such as essays, reports, exams, presentations, and portfolios.

The assessments will be spread throughout the year, and you will receive regular feedback to help you progress and develop your skills.

Next Steps and Progression After Course Completion

Access courses are designed specifically to help you progress to university. You will receive support with your UCAS application and personal statement writing to help you achieve this.

Entry Requirements

A general understanding of the construction industry with an interest in carpentry and some basic hand skills. To be eligible for enrolment, candidates must hold at least a Level 2 qualification and have achieved a minimum grade 4 or C in both English and Maths.
