While studying this course, you will utilise your soft & employability skills to engage with work experience. Alongside, you will also study the following units:
- Health and Safety and building and engineering services
- Electrical principles and processes for building services and engineering
- Scientific principles for domestic, industrial, and commercial plumbing
- Common plumbing processes
- Cold water systems
- Domestic Hot water systems
- Sanitation
- Communication within the building services and engineering
- Central Heating systems
- Drainage systems
Assessment
You will take part in online exams and practical competency assessments for each unit of study.
Additional Information
You should be comfortable using Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Word, as these tools play a crucial role in our collaborative and tech-savvy approach to education. Furthermore, we encourage independent work, as you may be expected to navigate tasks on days where you are not physically at the college.
Entry Requirements
Prior to starting the trade specific training, you will undergo a skills assessment to allow you to try some of the aspects of the course before committing further. This will allow tutors to measure your suitability to the course.
