Future Technology Centre

Our Future Technology Centre is an exciting development to enhance our engineering provision.

Based at the South West Skills Campus, our Future Technology Centre is the perfect place help launch your engineering career. Over the last few years, we've invested nearly £5 million into our engineering provision to bring you some of the best facilities in the country.

The first phase of this project, the College's £2.5 million engineering centre was opened in November 2015, and comprises fully equipped machining workshops, materials labs, hydraulics and pneumatics labs, PLC and control systems labs, electronics workshop, CAD suites, composites workshops, 3D printing facilities and maintenance and fabrication workshops.

Phase two, which was opened in September 2016, is where the College's higher education engineering provision will be based. It will be the only dedicated facility for university-level engineering in the Somerset and Bristol area.

One Message, Different Voices

Take a look at this powerful film made by the staff of Weston College to show how important it is for everyone from different backgrounds to be included. Our workplace champions the right of staff to embrace all Afro-hairstyles. We acknowledge that Afro-textured hair is an important part of our Black employees’ racial, ethnic, cultural, and religious identities, and requires specific styling for hair health and maintenance. We celebrate Afro-textured hair worn in all styles including, but not limited to, afros, locs, twists, braids, cornrows, fades, hair straightened through the application of heat or chemicals, weaves, wigs, headscarves, and wraps.
