Intermediate Business Administration (Apprenticeship Level 2)
Introduction
Administrators need a broad range of skills to work efficiently and to help increase business productivity. Skills shortages identified by organisations include a lack of office and administration skills, customer-handling skills, technical and practical skills, oral communication skills and IT skills, all of which are covered within the Business Administration Apprenticeship framework.
Intermediate apprentices may work in roles such as administrators, office juniors, receptionists/medical receptionists, junior legal secretaries or junior medical secretaries.
Entry requirements
Apprentices need to be employed in an administrative role within an organisation, demonstrating a wide variety of administrative duties. They will also be assessed to ensure they have the ability to complete the English and maths qualifications at level 1.
Functional skills
Apprentices will be required to have or achieve level 1 English and maths as of the apprenticeship framework. If this has already been achieved, then development of further English and maths skills will continue for the whole of the apprenticeship.

This apprenticeship is not available as a Standard at level 2, the College is still able to deliver the Business Administration Level 2 framework.
