'Voodoo Ramble' and 'The Blue Horizon' Live Performance
20 November 2024 17:30 – 20:30
The legend Boris Zamba from the band Voodoo Ramble will be coming to Weston College and performing live with a Weston College alumni band, 'The Blue Horizon'.
This is an amazing event that gives you the chance to hear some amazing music free-of-charge! With fantastic acoustics and phenomenal vocals, this will be a performance that you don't want to miss!
Our UAL Level 3 Year 1 Music Performance and Production students will be collaborating on an unforgettable project of creating a professional-quality album with Boris Zamba from Voodoo Ramble and Weston College alumni band The Blue Horizon. This brings together the Croatian and UK blues scenes and offers our students a rare opportunity to develop real-world professional skills in music production and live performance.
Boris will be performing with our students in the Michael Eavis Suite (the Performance Space - Loxton), where Music learners will be taking on audio production, Media students will be capturing video, and Photography students will be documenting every moment for promotional use. Together, they will be crafting a fully-produced live album and video that will showcase the talent and technical skills of the night.
This project is an exceptional opportunity for students to learn the end-to-end process of creating a commercial release —from technical setup and live sound engineering to visual capture and post-production. With The Blue Horizon taking the rhythm section and two Music students on backing vocals, the performance will be a dynamic collaboration, expertly led by Boris on guitar and vocals.
