Law and Professional Services Academy (for employers)

You can grow and expand your business with the help of Weston College’s Law and Professional Services Academy.

The Academy was developed with legal and professional services businesses across the Bristol and Somerset area in response to skills shortages in the sector. It builds on the successful provision in place within the Weston College Group to enable business access to cost-effective training courses and apprenticeships that will help them develop their legal, financial, business, property, management, IT and other professional services staff.

You can train your workforce from Level 1 to university-level. Weston College’s large and diverse provision means that you’ll be able to train your staff to a high standard of proficiency in their field. The businesses that we work with have the opportunity to access bespoke courses that are specially designed to meet their business needs. This includes a variety of training solutions, which could include apprenticeships and/or industry recognised qualifications such as AAT and ILM.

We create bespoke training solutions. Due to our highly skilled and specialised law and professional services team, we are able to work with you to create tailor-made courses and training programmes that will benefit your business. We’ll work with you to assess your business’ training requirements and implement a strategy which will upskill and/or retrain your current staff.

Staff development is an investment in your business. Having a highly skilled workforce maximises your staff’s potential, enabling them to be more cost-effective and more efficient. We work with hundreds of legal, financial and professional services employers to implement effective training plans that ensure that their staff are motivated and highly-trained.

Halo workplace logo

Our workplace champions the right of staff to embrace all Afro-hairstyles. We acknowledge that Afro-textured hair is an important part of our Black employees’ racial, ethnic, cultural, and religious identities, and requires specific styling for hair health and maintenance. We celebrate Afro-textured hair worn in all styles including, but not limited to, afros, locs, twists, braids, cornrows, fades, hair straightened through the application of heat or chemicals, weaves, wigs, headscarves, and wraps. In this workplace, we recognise and celebrate our colleagues’ identities. We are a community built on an ethos of equality and respect where hair texture and style have no bearing on an employee's ability to succeed.
