Our equipment and facilities
Here at Weston College, we provide industry standard equipment available to our students at all times, including HD cameras and other filming accessories, green screen and glide cams. Our students also have access to a fully equipped TV studio and bespoke Apple Macs for editing.
Amazing trips (even if we do say so ourselves!)
Our media students have the opportunity to go on some pretty fantastic trips. This includes regular trips to the BBC, Encounters Film Festival. Celador Radio, and the Harry Potter Studios. A real highlight, however, is our trip to LA, where our students get to walk down the famous Hollywood Boulevard and visit some iconic film studios.
Progression
We are very proud of our students, who always go on to achieve some great things when they leave us. You can study media courses with us at levels 2 and 3, and we also offer related degree-level courses at University Centre Weston (UCW). We'll even prioritise your application if you choose to go from a Weston College Course to UCW!

Our media courses are well-established, meaning we’ve got a proven track record in helping our students achieve the best results and get the most out of our courses. Our Level 3 diploma is one of the highest achieving in the area and boasts a 100% progression rate.
Creative Skillset Tick
Our media production course at has been awarded the ‘Creative Skillset Tick’. It is awarded to practice-based courses which best prepare students for a career in the Media industry.
Professional work with no exams!
We regularly work with external clients to produce films that will be used in the real world, so our students get a taste for what working in media is really like. You’ll meet real clients and work with them and your team to produce professional work that could be used across websites, DVDs or screened at events.
Our links with employers
We are able to offer amazing trips and provide real client projects because of our links with employers. We have links with the BBC and Aardman, to name a few, to make sure our course content is up-to-date to give our students the skills that will impress future employers.
