Noah's Ark Zoo Farm

Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm is a s a national award-winning animal park and education centre based just outside of Bristol. Welcoming over 200,000 visitors each year, the park is an important location for educational school trips. Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm offers a comprehensive national curriculum-based Education Program catering for Primary, Secondary and Higher Education.

Noah’s Ark are currently providing work placement for 5 Animal Management students. The team have developed a robust programme to ensure students are well supported and can work within an area of the park that they have interests in. Noah’s Ark are committed to recruiting local talent and have been keen to attract a diverse workforce.

Noah’s Ark are supporting the growth of talent in the Animal Industry by providing high quality work placement that give the student the many hours of volunteering experience that they need to get into the industry or that are a requirement of the Animal Industry qualifications.

Visit Somerset

Visit Somerset is dedicated to promoting Somerset as a holiday destination for visitors from the UK and around the world, offering key information on how to get to Somerset, where to stay, what to do in Somerset, and how to get around. They are a Community Interest Company and work to support and benefit visitors, local tourism businesses and their customers.

Visit Somerset not only have apprentices with the College, but they are also supporting the Travel & Tourism and Digital students with guest lectures and hand on experiences. The team at Visit Somerset are currently setting clear routes into placement roles, apprenticeships within the tourist region in the county and are looking to offer further chances for creative opportunities.

PaoloR

Paolo Resteghini is a freelance web developer, designer, app designer, digital marketer located in Weston-super-Mare. Through his company PaoloR, he has taken on a group of talented Web Design students as lead employer mentor of the Spacebar project within the last 6 months.

Not only has Paolo supported the College through the Spacebar project, but he has also delivered exceptional industry led talks and inspired the students to be more open minded when it comes to career options. Not only has this made the students excited to be learning from an established and local entrepreneur but ignited a passion to think about starting their own journey like Paolo.

Paolo is passing on crucial industry knowledge and support to equip the learners into their next stage of study or employment. He is committed to working with Weston College on the next stages of curriculum by sharing with faculty on his external knowledge and expertise.
