Floristry for you

The floristry industry is incredibly competitive, mainly due to the high number of floristry businesses out there. Along with small local businesses and flower shops, there are larger companies that specialise in large-scale floral displays, floristry workshop stores where people can make their own floral arrangements, and floristry design companies that work with artificial flowers for long-term displays.

There are approximately 15,000 florists in the UK.

Studying floristry will help you understand many really important elements of being a floral designer or florist. Learning the difference between different kinds of flowers, like cut flowers vs wild, as well as which are likely to provoke allergies etc. is often something that you can do more effectively in class rather than online.

What our students say

“If you enjoy a challenge in a supportive environment I would certainly recommend the course. I entered as a complete beginner but left with the ability and confidence to produce floral displays”

Halo workplace logo

Our workplace champions the right of staff to embrace all Afro-hairstyles. We acknowledge that Afro-textured hair is an important part of our Black employees’ racial, ethnic, cultural, and religious identities, and requires specific styling for hair health and maintenance. We celebrate Afro-textured hair worn in all styles including, but not limited to, afros, locs, twists, braids, cornrows, fades, hair straightened through the application of heat or chemicals, weaves, wigs, headscarves, and wraps. In this workplace, we recognise and celebrate our colleagues’ identities. We are a community built on an ethos of equality and respect where hair texture and style have no bearing on an employee's ability to succeed.
