Weston College App Launches for Students!
The official Weston College app will be launching the new college app on Thursday September 8th!
"MyWeston" is an integrated app and portal for Weston College learners which personalises communications and consolidates access to all college systems - Basically, everything students need, all in one place!
It runs on mobile devices as an app, but is also available on desktops devices within the college network.
There are loads of features for learners on the app including access to their timetables, instant college news, up-to-date events, online learning, support services plus much more. The app also integrates with several of the college's other systems which means that the app will be a one-stop shop for all the information about the college.
Ben Knocks, Assistant Principal for Students, said ‘We’re delighted to be rolling MyWeston out for learners from this September. We consulted extensively with learners last year and from this feedback, we have developed a product that we truly believe will enhance the learner experience. We’ve worked with Ready Education, who are a market leader in this area, to create the app and we would encourage all our students to download the app as soon as possible. The app is available in the App Store and Google Play now.’
- WS Email – College email right there on their home screen. We are confident this will really drive up learner use of their college email.
- Quick and easy access to college support services and reporting concerns.
- One-click access to booking study support.
- Access to college systems such as ProPortal and Smart Assessor so learners can easily monitor progress, see important information about assignments etc.
- LinkedIn Learning – Learners can brush up on skills or learn something new with bite-size learning at their fingertips.
- Moodle connectivity – Easy access to Moodle and relevant courses such as induction modules
- Newsroom – Important announcements and up to date news about the College to keep learners informed and up to date. Example could include discounts at college Bistros.
- Alerts including push notifications – Ability to make learners aware of important updates and activities that are taking place across the College campuses e.g. closures, exam updates.
- Timetable – Learner’s timetables and calendar will be easily accessible*
- Attendance – Learners can track their attendance*
- Full Office 365 integration.
- Travel information and campus maps
- Live social media updates so you’ll always know what’s happening on campus

The app is available to download, but will not be accessible for students until 8th September.
To log-in to the app from the 8th, all learners will need to do is download the app and log-in with their college credentials (email and password) provided after enrolment.
