Nicholas

Nicholas joined the college on the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Civil Engineering and from day one, Nicholas was always keen to complete his work to the highest standards. He would regularly stay late and even get into college early ahead of his classes. Nicholas showed an exemplary attitude to learning and took every opportunity to be on top of his coursework and revision. 

As part of his course, Nicholas undertook a placement with Highways England. This saw him working with their team to inspect major roads, bridges, and other parts of the network, and he even volunteered to attend night shifts to experience the full range of what the teams get up to. In the end he logged nearly 450hrs which shows his dedicated and commitment. 

Nicholas also won Construction Professions Student of the Year at Celebration of Success 2023.
