"I joined Weston College in 2011 having previously spent 14 years in the Royal Marines.’’
Why did you join Weston College?
"I was looking for an opportunity to develop my teaching career and knew I had the skill set to be influential in the Public Service Department."
How do you spend your day?
"I co-ordinate the Public Service department and help organise academic, fitness and teambuilding sessions. Organising out of college adventurous trips is also a major part of my role.”
How has the College supported your career development?
“My manager has offered a range of professional development opportunities to help me improve my skills and progress in my career. These opportunities included bespoke training programmes, workshops, mentoring, and coaching and in my 14 years I feel I have developed exponentially as a teacher because of these opportunities.”

“At Weston College, I had the opportunity to work with a number of different employers and schools, allowing our students to benefit from these experiences.”

“I love the “can do approach” from all members of staff which makes your job so much easier.”
