You will develop your skills and knowledge through a combination of theory and practical workshop sessions, giving you the opportunity to practice in a safe and secure environment.
Within the qualification you will have the opportunity to utilise the IET On-Site Guide and be introduced to how regulations (including BS 7671) affect electrical installation. The qualification covers standard circuits as described in the On-Site Guide.

Our Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations (Buildings and Structures) is tailored for adults seeking to enter the electrical industry through evening study. Running on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 18:00 to 21:00, this 34-week part-time course commencing in September provides participants with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills necessary for electrical design and installation in various settings.
At Level 2 of the Electrical Installation qualification, students embark on a journey of skills development essential for a career in electrical installation. The curriculum encompasses a wide range of topics aimed at providing a solid foundation in electrical principles, installation practices, and safety regulations. Participants engage in hands-on exercises to enhance their skills in wiring systems, conducting electrical tests, interpreting diagrams, and adhering to safety protocols. Through a combination of theoretical learning and practical application, students develop proficiency in key areas such as electrical technologies, wiring techniques, and compliance with industry standards. This comprehensive approach fosters the acquisition of essential skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the field of electrical installation.
Please be aware that this qualification does not certify you as an electrician. Instead, it serves as a stepping stone towards obtaining an apprenticeship, pursuing a recognised Level 3/NVQ qualification, and completing the AM2 assessment. Additionally, to be fully qualified it is necessary for you to be employed in the building services sector to facilitate workplace observation. ## Key Features:
